Our assessment
Put this page next to the Ro Sparks page and the comparison makes itself. Same company, same questionnaire, same twenty-four hour review. One product is an FDA-approved generic at conventional doses on an approved schedule. The other is a compounded combination of two PDE5 inhibitors with no approval and no trial evidence as a combination, at $48 a month.
Ro is not hiding this. The sentence noting that compounded medications are not FDA-approved appears on their own page. A man who reads both pages has been given what he needs to choose correctly. The difficulty is that the compounded product is the one that arrives through shopping advertisements, and the approved one is the page you have to go looking for.
So: if you are going to buy from Ro, buy this. The dose options are the licensed ones, daily and as-needed are both offered, and the nitrate contraindication is stated plainly.
The caveat is price. Eight dollars a dose for generic tadalafil is roughly eight times what the same molecule costs at a retail pharmacy dispensing it at about a dollar a tablet. You are paying a substantial premium for the convenience of the questionnaire — which is a legitimate thing to buy, as long as you know that is what you are buying.
