A man who cannot read this site cannot book an appointment on it. We treat that as a clinical access problem rather than a compliance checkbox.

We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA across this website. That is a target rather than a certificate, and we would rather describe what we have actually done than claim conformance we have not audited.

What is in place

  • Semantic HTML throughout, with a single logical heading order on every page
  • A visible skip link to the main content, and visible focus outlines on every interactive element
  • Full keyboard operability — the navigation, the accordions and the consultation form can all be used without a mouse
  • Frequently asked questions built with native disclosure elements, so every answer is present in the page even without JavaScript
  • Form fields with persistent labels rather than placeholder text, and validation errors associated with their fields
  • Body text at a colour contrast ratio comfortably above the 4.5:1 minimum against our paper background
  • Text that reflows and remains readable when zoomed to 200%, on any screen width
  • Reduced-motion preferences respected — smooth scrolling is disabled where the operating system asks for it
  • No embedded third-party map, which removes a common source of inaccessible interactive content

Known limitations

We have not commissioned a formal third-party audit, so the target above is a standard we hold ourselves to rather than one an outside assessor has certified. Everything listed is something we have built and checked; none of it has been independently verified.

If you encounter a problem, tell us and we will fix it rather than explaining it away. That has been the outcome every time so far.

Accessibility at the clinic

  • Step-free access from the street and from the car park
  • Lift access to the second-floor suite
  • An accessible consulting room and an accessible bathroom
  • Sign language interpretation available with advance notice, at no cost to you
  • Written materials available in large print on request, and consent documents read aloud where preferred
  • Extended appointment slots where communication support is needed — at no additional fee

Telling us about a problem

If any part of this website or our premises is difficult for you to use, we want to know. Contact us at care@theedtreatmentcenter.com or on (555) 018-4300. Please describe what you were trying to do and what got in the way. We aim to respond within two business days, and if a fix will take longer than that we will tell you how we can help you in the meantime.
