We are a competitor of the companies reviewed on this page. That is a conflict of interest and you should read everything here with it in mind. What we can offer against it: every factual claim is drawn from the company's own published material and linked, every clinical criticism applies equally to us where it applies, and we take no affiliate commission or referral fee from anyone named here — including from the retail pharmacies whose generics we rate most highly.

A national pharmacy chain prescribing the approved generic through an online visit, then dispensing it at ordinary retail prices. The medication cost here is the number the rest of this page should be measured against.

Walgreens blocks automated access to the product page, so this entry was built from third-party reporting and search indexing of Walgreens’ own material rather than read at source. Figures were corroborated across more than one source but should be checked directly, particularly the visit fee range and the per-tablet prices, which vary by location.

Our assessment

The interesting number here is not the visit fee, it is the tablet. Around a dollar for tadalafil 10mg is what an approved generic actually costs when a large pharmacy dispenses it at retail without a subscription wrapped around it.

Hold that against the compounded products reviewed further down this page, several of which charge between $1.63 and $2.18 a dose for unapproved combinations of the same molecules. The approved drug, from a pharmacy you can walk into, is the cheaper option. That is the single most useful fact on this page and almost nobody in this market advertises it.

The consultation is a chat, not an examination. No blood pressure, no bloods, no physical. The same limitation as every other remote service here, and the same consequence: a man whose erectile dysfunction is the first sign of vascular disease will not learn that from a chat window.

One structural point in its favour: the visit fee is paid once rather than recurring, and the medication is priced separately, so there is no arrangement that quietly keeps billing you. One structural point against: the visit is not covered by insurance, which for some men makes a service like PlushCare cheaper overall.

Reasonable for

  • Men who want the approved generic at an honest retail price
  • Men who prefer collecting a prescription in person
  • Men who would rather pay once than subscribe

Not for

  • Anyone taking nitrates in any form
  • Men who have not had a blood pressure reading or blood work recently
  • Men who want the visit itself covered by insurance

If you want the other thing

A diagnosis, rather than a subscription.
