We are a competitor of the companies reviewed on this page. That is a conflict of interest and you should read everything here with it in mind. What we can offer against it: every factual claim is drawn from the company's own published material and linked, every clinical criticism applies equally to us where it applies, and we take no affiliate commission or referral fee from anyone named here — including from the retail pharmacies whose generics we rate most highly.
The approved generic from a company whose advertising almost entirely promotes its compounded products. As with Ro, the plain option is there — you have to go looking for it.

Hims blocks automated access across every domain we tried, so this entry rests on third-party reporting and search indexing of Hims’ own material rather than a page read at source. Pricing in particular was reported inconsistently across sources and moves with plan and commitment length; verify directly before ordering.

Our assessment
Hims sells the approved generic and it sells compounded combinations, and the second is what most of its advertising is for. This entry exists so that a man who arrives at Hims knows the first one is available.
On the medicine there is nothing to argue with. Generic tadalafil at licensed doses, daily and on-demand, is first-line therapy and the same thing we would prescribe.
On price there is. Around $2.74 a pill is roughly three times what a large retail pharmacy charges for the identical approved generic, and the route to a competitive per-dose price is reported to require committing to a year up front. Annual commitments are good for the seller and only good for the buyer if the treatment turns out to be right, which is not knowable at the point you sign up.
The consultation is the usual questionnaire. No blood pressure, no examination, no bloods — which, set against the Amazon service in this same category that simply requires a recent reading, looks like a choice rather than a constraint.
Reasonable for
- Men already using Hims who are choosing between this and the compounded 3-in-1 — this is the better choice
- Men who want daily low-dose tadalafil, a legitimate approved regimen
Not for
- Anyone taking nitrates in any form
- Men who would sign a twelve-month commitment before knowing whether the treatment suits them
- Men who have not had a blood pressure reading or blood work recently
